Radio France is playing the open data game to the hilt (thanks public service). On their developer site, you can access a whole host of data on programmes, guests and stations. On this particular subject, there’s no need to look that far. Launch any stream on the site and a little digging reveals the associated metadata. Basically, a text file with artist, song, label…
On the other hand, Spotify also provides a great deal of access to its API. A handy function allows you to search for a track in the database and automatically add it to a playlist.
The catch is that Spotify doesn’t have the entire FIP music catalogue. Radio France’s record library is the 4th largest in the world. All radio stations have the opportunity to rummage through it to find THE right version. So to listen to FIP in the best possible way, it’s best to listen directly to FIP.
Matthou, the Radio France fan, has also created playlists for France Inter, FIP Hip Hop, FIP Electro and FIP Pop. Everything is accessible on his profile.

BBC Radio 2 crushed the competition during the week of 9 to 15 November on social networks, and what’s more, it’s all for a good cause. It’s all down to one name and one number: Sara Cox, the station’s presenter, and £10 million raised for the BBC Children in Need charity event. To raise the…
